Moong Dal | 50g |
Water for Dal Cooking | 350ml |
MTR Rice Sevai | 60g |
Water for Coconut Milk | 200ml |
Grated Coconut | 30g |
Jaggery | 110g |
Ghee | 5g |
Cashew Nut | 7.5g |
Raisin | 7.5g |
Cardamom Powder | 0.5g |
Directions
Step 01 Cook moong dal in a pressure cooker for two whistles.
Step 02 Gently open the lid and add the remaining water and MTR Rice Sevai.
Step 03 Cook until the rice sevai becomes soft.
Step 04 Add jaggery and cook until it melts.
Step 05 Add coconut milk and mix well and simmer it.
Step 06 Heat ghee in a pan, add cashew nut, raisin and fry until its raisin puffed up,
Step 07 Add to the payasam. Add cardamom powder and switch off the flame.
Step 08 Serve hot.
