I just added appemidi pickle to my cart on a whim. Since it appeared similar to the mavadu made in TamilNadu, I thought of trying out the Karnataka tradtional pickle out of curiosity - especially when I learned that it is made without any oil - just brine. The pickle retains the fresh flavor and after taste of raw tender mangoes. I am surprised that it is not very well known. Do try out this seasonal pickle, especially, the MTR brand, since they never compromise on taste or quality. Best part is, wherever you are, you can order it online. The customer care people are also quite good.
